Whipping Scenes In The Movies 1

Castle Mug

The Castle Mug in Livorno, near Calafuria, is one of the best photo spot that Tuscany has to offer. For lovers of photography, especially landscape, the opportunities are numerous, as are many possible points of recovery.

variability on seasonal light and weather conditions, make it interesting all year ... but especially at sunset when the sun ends up diving into the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Mug the best.

The photo above was taken in March 2010, a half hour before sunset.
E 'was performed with tripod, remote shutter release and two filters used in front of the lens: a Sigma 10-20. With the use of Cokin P series filters (two sloping) I was forced to take at least 12mm to avoid vignetting, given by the filter, which creates a 10mm due to the wide angle of view of the 10-20 holder enters marginally in the field of view optics, which is going to at least 12 mm is not the case.

The trip was run in silent mode. Raw (. Nikon NEF), with shutter speeds of around 4 seconds. The light was still quite strong and, despite the use of filters for which slope down to decrease the amount of light, I could not get past this stage trigger. The only alternative was to wait another half hour, but the time was a tyrant. It would have been ideal to further lengthen the shutter speed and get a blurring of the sea even more evident.
car, finally, I also set the delay in exposure after the lifting of the mirror (to avoid any possible shake-and vibration during exposure).

shooting in RAW you have a tremendous opportunity to highlight recovery may be "burned" and plenty of room for digital processing (eg, multiple exposures), without giving a high image quality and remarkable richness of detail .
